1) One-child capability / Cargo gear: HSD / NBD / Quick Haul

How to understand Tern’s model codes...
Tern uses letters and numbers to tell you the gearing level:
- D ... “Derailleur” with basic to mid-level components (D8 / D9 etc.)
- P ... "Premium derailleur" gearing (P5i / P9 etc.)
- S ... "Sport derailleur" gearing (S10 / S11 / S12 etc.)
- “00” models ... Continuous Enviolo gearing + belt drive (continuous style shifting, smooth and low-maintenance)
- R14 ... Rohloff 14-speed + belt drive + electronic shifting – the top-spec system across Tern’s range
- Numbers (8, 9, 10…) ... the number of gears on that system
Simple rule:
Higher letter/number then higher performance/more gears, more premium features.
